Set up Slack notifications
Get pinged in Slack the moment a lead needs a human.
Connect Slack and every handoff lands in a channel your team watches — with the lead's name, why the agent escalated, and a link straight into the conversation. Set it up under Settings → Integrations → Slack.
Steps
Connect your workspace
Click Connect Slack and authorize the Reply First app for your workspace. You approve the exact permissions in Slack's own dialog; tokens are stored encrypted.
Pick a channel
Choose the channel handoff alerts should post to — a dedicated #leads or #handoffs channel works well so nothing gets buried.
Test it
Trigger a handoff (ask your agent for "a human" in the Playground or a test conversation). A Slack message appears with the reason and a deep link. Click it to open the conversation and take over.
What a notification contains
Each alert carries the handoff reason (for example high value or user requested human), a short summary of the conversation so far, and a link to the lead. That's usually enough to decide who picks it up before anyone opens the thread.
Token health
Reply First checks your Slack token nightly. If it's revoked or expires, a banner appears in the dashboard prompting you to reconnect, so alerts never fail silently.
